Off I go!
June 16th, 2011I am in Pearson Airport and waiting to board my flight to Calgary. I will be setting up tomorrow and ready to meet and greet everyone. My table is P09 and I can’t wait to meet anyone who is coming!
Just come by to say HI, but know that everyone who purchases something will get a free trading card or postcard.
My Uncanny X-Ponies – Mutants are Magic
June 9th, 2011This is a crossover piece that I will have available as a print at Calgary Comic Expo. I had far more fun with this than I should have. I was originally going to do a Star Wars crossover, but I felt like doing Xmen instead.
*edit on the 17th of July* I have X-Ponies prints available! $5 each plus shipping. See this post for the details.

CCEE, here I come – next week
June 7th, 2011CCEE has posted their program book, which has a little picture of my artbook contribution in it, so I figure it’s officially safe to show it off. Please, if you’re going to CCEE, pick up one of the artbooks! Proceeds this year go to Make a Wish. Bring it to my table and I’ll sign it, and people who come by with an artbook will get a free postcard or trading card. I am at P09 in the writer/artist guest area, not in the Artist Alley, so come and find me!

The artbook piece is adobe photoshop and to accompany the original, I am very likely going to get a poster printed for the auction.
Hope to see you all in Calgary!
Mini Magnets and (Hopefully) stickers
May 29th, 2011I made those cute little mini magnets last year, and they were a hit. I will have them and all this other con stuff from Toronto at Calgary this year. I decided to make more little Illustrator illustrations for Calgary, so I’m not just bringing last year’s leftovers! Here they are (Plus the best sellers from last year, I might make a couple of more sets of turtles, but what I have is what I’ll have)

Assuming Canada Post either doesn’t go on strike, or the strike doesn’t last long, I will also have stickers available. My glossy sticker paper is in the mail. D’oh!
I’m also going to have a new print – My Uncanny Ponies. I just need to finish it up, it’ll be done shortly before the con, as well as some pre-drawn sketch cards.
Star wars Galaxy 6 Returns available! Plus Blanks!
May 25th, 2011CCEE artbook art is done
April 10th, 2011To be fair to the CCEE people, I won’t be posting the final until shortly before I leave for Calgary, or while I am there
I took the rough and went crazy, it looks completely awesome and I honestly wish I could show it off now. I used a few new techniques in photoshop using shapes and textures and a multitude of new brushes.
So, look out for the art, it’ll be here eventually. For now I need to draw some art that I *CAN* show off!
Calgary Comic Expo sneak peek!
April 3rd, 2011This is the super super rough version of my submission to the artbook this year. I’m working on getting it done for the deadline and it is coming along just fine!

Expect more art to come. Sorry for the drought, I cannot wait until classes are done so I can do more sketches. I’ve been digging through my old sketchbooks and, man, I used to sketch a lot, so I’m going to channel that again in May for a sketch a day thing to get the creative juices going.
Calgary Comic Expo
March 9th, 2011
First, have a Pangolin in a Dinner Jacket beanie to start your day! What a dapper fellow.
I will be there, will you?
I’ll have more details as I get them, like a table number and all, but I don’t think I’m in artist alley this time around. For those of you wondering, yes I will be doing the ‘How to Draw Star Wars’ stuff again and I’m looking forward to catching up with all you Calgary folks again. I’m sad to have missed Emerald City Comicon.
I will be offering commissions to be picked up at the con, such as bust sketches, sketch cards, cuties and beanies, look for an announcement in April or May for that. I need to get through the rest of the semester first.
Ancient art find brings some ancient commission prices!
February 16th, 2011Dude. OK, so I was cleaning out my email and happened upon some old sent mail that I had not deleted for whatever reason. I found the D6 stats for ‘Castaways of Endor’, three short stories (Which I will be polishing and posting sooner or later) (Which I will post so someone can convert them to D20!) some art I’d forgotten I’d done (Including a bunch of Mr Miyagi type judo masters for a judo website, and some art of questionable artistic value) and some art that I had done, but I’d long since lamented their loss, as they were something I lost in a hard drive crash.
Beanies.

Back in 2002 a site I used to frequent had a Beanies game. You would reload pages, and every now and then you would find a beanie. Then you could trade said beanies and such. The game ended up being yanked because it was, understandably, an enormous bandwidth hog. So here they are. beanies. And these kind of represent the historical beginnings of a style I still use today!
Want a beanie? Contact me. Or comment. They’re $7. Keep the details small, I draw them about 2″x2″, flat colour, very fun to do. I have a long weekend and march break. Depending on the volume I get, I’ll let you know how long it’ll take. I’ll be starting them on Friday.
In case you are wondering, characters top to bottom, L-R:
Tarzy, Rody, Oryx, Ianhorous (All from one of the short stories, Fox-shark, Dead Bird Head Guy (x3 – he needs his own web comic), Dragon-Gecko, Chilly (Belongs to a friend of mine), Beacon, Random white tiger, Flying Armadillo, Amara as Ewok, Amara as Sith, Amara as Jedi, Amara as TMBG fan.
Fan art is OK.
I hope you have enjoyed this trip down memory lane!
