Oh my!
Monday, November 8th, 2010I moved my site to a new host and all was well, but it appears some of my posts and art have vanished – vanished I say! I will for sure have some new art and figure out hat happened with those posts eventually.
For those who don’t know, life is busy. I am in school taking medical Laboratory Technology and I have little time to draw. However, I do have some awesome things kicking around, like cute, scientific drawings, so I plan on polishing those up soon!
Hearts to you all!
*edit* Ah ha! I found some art.
I did 106 cards for the clone wars season two set this summer. Sadly, I left my markers in Toronto (they have since been returned. Huzzah!) so most of the cards were in pencil. I have them in my sketch card gallery if you want to have a peek, but they aren’t nearly as awesome as some sets.
These will be my returns, once they get to me, and because of my lack of marker, they aren’t as vibrant as usual. I am asking $100 each for Grievous, clone trooper and bossk. $75 each for Hohndo, baby gungan and other baby.
Interested? Let me know! I don’t physically have the cards yet, but I will have them soon.
In other Star wars news, I’ll be doing 50 cards for Star Wars Galaxy 6. Fewer cards + having my markers = more awesomeness for you all.
Although to be perfectly honest I am very very tempted to draw 50 ewoks
Post con wrap up
Sunday, August 29th, 2010Had a decent show! While I didn’t sell as much as I would have liked to, I saw a ton of old friends and made a bunch more new ones. That is worth its weight in gold.
One new friend I made was the amazing Garrett Hanna who, while being an amazing artist, is also a fantastically nice guy. We shared a table, I traded him a drawing of Wartortle for a print of Batman. And I didn’t notice as I was clearing out, but I left my markers behind at the show. Garrett emailed me and let me know he had them, and he is going to mail them to me.
Holy crap. What a standup guy. That was a few hundred dollars worth of markers I almost lost.
So yes, go look at his art because he’s a great artist and a nice dude who totally saved my bacon.
Will have more post con wrapup after I get everything done. I also need to sleep
I ams uper sad about my markers because it means there really won’t be many colour cards for my Clone Wars set that will be in packs. Sorry, guys! But that happens D:
Harold gets his book!
Thursday, August 19th, 2010This is what I’ve been working on for most of the summer, a (relatively) quick ash-canesque, black and white book for ‘How Harold Got His Wings’ (Written by the venerable Sarah Braun). The cover will be in colour, I’ll be staying up late tonight!
Just a sneak peek at my process. I draw at different sizes (And I had done my sketches for a larger format of book) so the toning is helping even out the shapes of the illustrations.
I’ll have this available at Fan Expo in Toronto, limited to 50, for $10. And you’ll get a scribble

Awesome like a possum!
Monday, July 26th, 2010What I did on my Summer Vacation – Icons
Friday, July 16th, 2010I ran a little free icon drive (Not on the website, sorry, did it on some more targeted social networking things) to figure out how much to charge for icons. The full colour ones were for people who tipped (One of the ones on the full colour sheet is not in colour because I’m waiting for reference), the mostly monochrome ones were the free ones.
Want an Icon? 100×100 or 150×150 icons – $10 for colour, $5 for tones. One character only. If the character or scene you want is complex, the prices will be more.

Now to move on to some bigger pieces of art, I am going to get a very rough Harold book completed for the con, working on that this weekend while I am in an Internetless area!
Chicagoland Charity Cards
Wednesday, May 19th, 2010I have some new art, but it’s a lot so I’m breaking it up over a few posts. All of my art is in the galleries (hint: Teeny commissions, Clone wars widescreen cards and Custom Sketch cards) but here are a few select cards I really really liked

More Sketch Cards can be found here. And I added a couple to my deviantart I haven’t added to the site yet
Summer means new art!
Thursday, April 29th, 2010How to Draw Jaxxon – On Starwars.com
Thursday, April 1st, 2010In between my studying (I’m in school to be a Med Lab Technologist), work and a few commissions, I managed to squeak in a ‘How to Draw’ tutorial Bonnie’s been trying to get me to do for a while. Well! It’s Easter weekend, so what better time than to have a rockin’ rocket rabbit drawing session?
Here is the full final piece:

And, hey kids! Download a larger version of the inks, print it out and colour it in.
Completed 501st project helmet!
Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010My helmet is complete and I am able to post it. I’m sending the process to the 501st Project website so they can spill all those details, but here are the pics and some info:

Materials used:
- Ceramcoat paint (lots and lots)
- Pigeon feathers (picked up off the ground)
- leather cord
- dollar store faux tribal necklace for the beads
- Air dry clay
- faux suede (I wanted another colour, but it was on for next to nothing a yard, and this was all they had left)
